How often in your life have you allowed regret to get in the way, the 'if only's', the 'should haves', for me I have dwelled in that place many times, but thankfully not for long. I was reminded of a moment today after watching the movie Wild starring Reese Witherspoon. I loved it, a front row seat into someone else's life, I'm a big fan of movies based on true stories. Reece played a woman named Cheryl who went on a downward spiral after her mother passed away and ended up hiking a thousand miles to gain some perspective after she hit rock bottom. This movie was timely, this particular past week I feel I have shed another layer of grief for my Mum passing, which happened 5 years ago, something you never get over but I thought would get easier, it does and it doesn't, being allowed to share in another story of grief helps, I guess it helps you gain a little perspective. I miss my Mum so so much but I know I'm not alone, she fills my heart with love sending me signs to remind me she sees me and for that I am so grateful. So back to the regret I mentioned, watching Cheryl in the movie walk a thousand miles alone, brought up a slight regret that I didn't continue my travels in my 20's, sitting in my regret for a moment I admitted to myself, that on some level I thought maybe I sabotaged myself because of fear, fear of being a young woman alone on the road, it still makes me feel vulnerable, thinking about it. Then I thought about what it was that changed those plans so quickly. I wasn't really wanting to travel alone, I loved the idea of it, me and the open road and I loved travelling, but I was trying to prove myself to my family, that I could do anything, that I wasn't scared, that I wasn't just an annoying little girl, I was somebody. Mind you all this need to prove myself was all in my own head, it took a while, but that driving force has gone now. That moment of slight regret turned into reflection, how do you regret life that changes you in ways that supports the evolvement of your soul, the husband that has taught me to be the strong woman I am today, that same man who brought me to my knees and also raised me up like the White Bellied Sea Eagle soaring so high, how do you regret the three beautiful children that you bring into the world, who teach you the deepest most unconditional love you could ever experience and the amazing angels that walk into your life from all directions that bring so much with them.
So as much as I kind of wish I had the guts to make that particular trip 20 years ago, I can reflect over the many things in my life that have brought me other experiences I needed more. Thank you for visiting me Regret you are a welcomed friend who helps me see how far I have come, what I have and how much love I have to give and how that is reflected back to me. Any regrets? Ready to set them free? Much love xo

Change happens all the time, from relationships, living arrangements, careers to Facebook or that app you have just gotten used to and then here comes another update. Some cope well with Change, others a little resistant but come around and then there are some that fight it all the way til there is no other choice but to succumb. Which one are you? Me? I'm pretty comfortable with change, its part of my personality, I like to change things around, I like new updates, I have different healing modalities under my belt so depending on what's needed by my client I have choice. Change is good, sometimes we can see it coming and sometimes it just smacks us in the face when we least expect it, either way it helps us grow and evolve. Ten months ago I embarked on a big journey regarding my diet and health and I have learnt a lot! Through this experience and the inspiration from my niece Elyse Comerford, I have started studying a Health Coaching Course with The Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN), and I am really enjoying it so far. So just a heads up that change is in the air, here in this blog and my Facebook page, its time to bring Lifestyle/Health and Energy Healing together, I talk a lot about healing on all levels so it just makes sense to me. As my knowledge and skills grow I just want to share different interesting tidbits with you, so it may not all be about energy healing, there may be talk of bone broth, recipes, fermented foods as well as breathing and grounding techniques and of course the usual crystals, oracle cards and beautiful affirmations. When people make changes in their life others close to them may feel inspired by the information, something really resonates and they are on board, others may feel resistant toward the information but like a seed it was planted and over time may make more and more sense, then there will be those that are just on a different path, we have to remember that mutual respect is important, we need to be understanding that what works for us as individuals may not be for everyone no matter how excited and real it feels. Living in harmony is so important and while we may not always agree with those close to us we can connect on the topics in life that interest both parties and still be respectful and listen to what is happening in our respective lives just because we care about each other. When it comes to social media and individual websites or blog pages we have a choice, if its not the information we want or if someone has changed and are writing and sharing about topics that we aren't interested in, we have the ability to unfollow and unfriend, which I choose to do rather then leave comments that may sound negative and judgemental. My point being if the changes I make or things I share aren't for you, thats ok I will not be offended by you unfollowing or unfriending me so you don't have to have the information popping up on you, I don't want to debate, I just want to have freedom of speech and keep just one page and one website that may offer a variety of information. Enjoy! Heres to your health and wellbeing
Much love Kathleen xo It's no secret that I love crystals, minerals and rocks, wherever I go or even when searching the World Wide Web it's guaranteed there will be something crystal related. I had to head out of town for a couple of days and would be near a local that fossicks a lot of the stones he sells, I knew I would definitely be dropping in for a look and of course came away with a little bindle bundle of treasure. Being someone that also sells crystals and facilitates crystal healing I am often asked 'how do I know what crystal is right for me?' 'Do we choose the crystal or does the crystal choose us?' Or 'This particular emotional or physical problem is ailing me what crystal would work best for me?'
All very valid questions and when I think back over the time I've been collecting, I have chosen crystals from all different states of mind, sometimes I've looked up the best crystals that relate to particular issues or I've just read about a crystal and decided I really need a piece of that, having some reference books and access to Google will help you immensely and is a great way to start. My favourite way of ending up with another crystal is when I feel they speak to me, draw me in to their space, it excites me, makes me feel like the proverbial kid in a candy store. It really is all about trusting yourself and trusting the energy, how can you possibly get it wrong, there's always more to the crystal than what a books says, I find I don't even question it anymore I just carry, play or sleep with whatever crystal I feel a connection to and am so grateful for any healing or awareness it's brings my way. So the next time you come across a crystal shop or market stall pop in, walk around and go for the one that you feel most drawn to for whatever reason, give yourself permission to be open to the energy and enjoy your new friend. Oh and like I keep telling myself you can never have to many crystals either! Feel free to share what crystal you have in your space at this moment and what it means to you. Much love and Crystal Blessings! Self-Care! What comes to mind when you hear these two words? There are so many aspects to Self-Care, I'll touch on some that I feel are important.
SACRED SPACE - Whilst I am blessed with a healing space on our block, away from my house, not everyone has the room, but, in lieu of this we can create something just as sacred like an alter to place special items on, including our collections from nature, little statues or candles, oracle cards, gorgeous affirmations, a mirror, the list is endless. A corner of a room where we could place a comfy chair is somewhere we can meditate or write in our journals, read or pick some oracle cards for guidance and also have a few special trinkets and treasures around this space to make it all the more special and unique to you. This could also be somewhere special, a favourite beach, park or garden, time out from our usual routines is so important whether it be 10 minutes, an hour or even a whole day make the most of it and enjoy! HEALTH - This one covers health on all levels, Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual, if we look after ourselves in this balanced way, well life just seems to flow better, sometimes it can be just one level that is off kilter and it throws our whole system out, its really about recognising where we need to put the healing energy and fine tune things to bring this back into balance. This could be looking at Nutrition, Exercise, having someone to talk to, creating the sacred space I mentioned above to have some much needed quiet time or booking a healing of some sort or even a beautiful spa treatment, there are so many amazing therapists out there if we need help we need to be able to trust our intuition and connect with someone that can help guide us back to the balance we need. Everyone has their own beliefs around whats right and whats not for them and that I honour, as we try different things we have to tap into what resonates with our bodies on all these levels, from having different experiences is where we can discern what is right and what is not for us personally. BOUNDARIES - Creating healthy boundaries is so important in many ways, one of the most important for me is being able to say no, or being able to make the decision of where we want to be and who we want in our space, lovingly and with out guilt. While it's a wonderful feeling to be able to give on many levels, our time, our space, our services, we do need to be able to recognise when it may be time to say No and take heed of our energetic boundaries. We can over give, sometimes so much that we rob others from important lessons they may need to experience for themselves, if we keep doing things for people or enabling them, how do they learn? Listening to your body or your intuition when it is time to stop or say no or change something is super important. It also works both ways, if we are relying on someone all the time or have an expectation on someone, taking advantage of their time or space, we need to understand its not that these people don't want to help us but we need to learn to respect boundaries and take responsibility as we also have important lessons to learn about ourselves. So I ask again what comes to mind when you hear these two words Self-Care? Do check in with yourself right now and see if there is something you can do in this very moment that will feed your body, mind or soul and if you would like to add to the above or share any amazing self-care experiences, I would love to hear them. Crystal Blessings! Nearly ten years ago my Reiki Master shared a story about a psychologist healing a Hospital ward for the mentally ill, criminals that had been charged with heinous crimes, Dr Hew Len did this without physically seeing a patient, instead by looking at their files and using an ancient Hawaiin forgiveness and reconciliation process called Ho'oponopono. You can read more about this story and the book which is definitely worth a read here. This process has surfaced again in my life all these years later through a friend who asked me if I had heard the story and read the book, it took me back to those very early Reiki days, but this time I found myself ordering the book, reading it in next to no time and really grasping this amazing simple process with both hands. Why now and not nearly ten years ago? Divine Timing! I am ready for it now, really ready for it. I have been putting it into practise and reaping the benefits. I am sure there is a similar experience you can relate to, a book to read, a modality to learn, even someone suggesting a healing modality for you to experience, but it isn't until months or years later that you do it and think why did it take me so long? If only I did this or learnt that when I first heard about it. It's freeing to acknowledge that it just wasn't the right time, when we force things it's all to hard, we can feel like we are just banging our heads against the proverbial brick wall. When it's Divine Timing everything flows gently, it feels right, there is no conflict within ourself it just is. 2014 is the year to embrace the importance of self-care, part of that is not wallowing in regret or kicking ourselves you know where because we may have taken so long to get or do something, just surrender to it when it feels right for it will bring so much healing and clarity to help you through times of challenge. A very wise woman I did an EFT Workshop with last year told us it's important to always meet people where they are at, that sentence really resonated with me more than ever in that moment again Divine Timing. When something has finally clicked into place for you and the benefits are amazing we want to share with our loved ones but remember to share without expectations, plant the seed and allow them to flourish it when it's divine timing for them we are all on our own path our own personal journey and we should always respect where others are at as well. Ho'oponopono Mantra I'm sorry I love you Please forgive me Thank you Crystal blessings xo I remember feeling the strong desire to connect with Flower Essences. I wanted to learn as much as I could and right now in that moment. Living in Humpty Doo, I didn't like my chances but scoured the yellow pages anyway, lo and behold came across a local lady who did small workshops but was renovating and wasn't offering anything until her house was in order, I practically begged and we did a one on one workshop, that was the start of my real love affair with Flower Essences. I bought the Australian Bush Flower Essence Stock Kit and enrolled in the correspondence course and started dishing the Essences out to friends and family actually any one who would listen and was interested. During the correspondence course I had an assessment that required me to choose a flower that Ian White (founder of the Australian Bush Flowers) hadn't covered and make it into an essence, tuning in to write a report on what the flower will be used for as a Vibrational Medicine. I chose Red Kurrajong and one of the healing properties this flower helps with is to cope through 'The Empty Nest' stage of life when children have grown up and have left home, this can be a hard transition for some parents. Ten years later and Flower Essences are still a big part of my life for myself, my family, friends and my clients. Flower essences can help us through emotional upheavals of all sorts, bringing about clarity and balance. The flowers can be chosen just by sharing what is happening in your life, by looking at photos of the flowers and choosing the ones that seem to jump out at you or by choosing from the cards randomly, they are made up into a dosage bottle and taken, 7 drops under the tongue morning and night for at least 2 weeks is the general dosage. It's also very important to remember that we can connect with any flower that we come across and are attracted too. By taking a moment to breathe the essence of the flower in, taking the time to bask in it's features and qualities. Energetically connecting to the flower and it's spirit is a meditation that can take you on a healing journey without even physically taking the drops themselves. Keeping that in mind look out for those beautiful flowers on your next walk or ride and stop and take that moment, you don't want to miss it! Photos by Kathleen O'Keeffe ©
